GLSL Based Engine
Šlesár, Michal ; Karas, Matej (referee) ; Milet, Tomáš (advisor)
Creating a graphical application running on a GPU typically involves configuring the GPU, creating and configuring the required objects, and then implementing the application's behavior itself. The aim of this work is to create a tool that would automate this configuration using the OpenGL application interface. As a result, the user would not have to waste time configuring and could quickly create and prototype graphics applications. In addition, the created tool adds new functionality to the application that is not native or supported on the GPU, such as working with a mouse and keyboard.

"Gentlemen, please, take of your hats": Methods of dating and interpretation of photographies from years 1850–1918 through historical mens fashion
Polách, Radek
„GENTLEMEN, PLEASE, TAKE OFF YOUR HATS“ – Methods of dating and interpretation of photographies from years 1850-1918 through historical mens fashion is compacted material for professional description of historical photographic material from noblemens collection funds based on basic knowledge of mens and partially child fashion, and related clothing accessories. In its entirety it brings a large amount of knowledge from history of the then mens fashion, which was after the downfall of the Austro-Hungarian empire overlooked or presented only in narrowly specialized sections, e.g. in the military section. A large part of this publication is based not only on the knowledge of description of mens clothing, but mainly of headwear. It is this clothing accessory that is pivotal to the observed era, and with a closer look, it can help accurately date and describe people captured on historical photographs. It is primarily meant for the specialized staff of memory institutions of Czech Republic, who deal with these given issues. At the same though, it can allow curators and owners of historical funds a way to describe collections of exhibits that are kept in their collection funds.

This thesis deals with the phenomenon of school uniforms in the Czech Republic. This paper will introduce you to the concept of wearing uniforms, the brief beginnings of uniforms and finally the introduction of uniforms at schools. You will be introduced to some countries which have a long tradition of school uniforms and those in the Czech Republic who are just at the very beginning. The aim of this thesis is to map out where the school uniforms are worn, decipher which factors are needed when introducing uniforms in Czech schools and what are the advantages and disadvantages resulting from the implementation of the wearing of uniforms in Czech schools. I will present my findings based on a research survey of the wider public in which I have posed the question of what the public thinks of school uniforms and what effect this has on their perception of uniforms. I also present detailed photographic artwork drafts which represent uniformity. What follows in this paper is the implementation of these concepts as well as my own graphic examples of school uniforms. These drafts were given to an experienced artist who brought them to life through interpretive painting. Keywords: uniform, school, dress code, wear, art education

The Uniform of the Red Army: Military Attire of the Ranks and the NCOs 1936 - 1946
Prior, Tomáš ; Tumis, Stanislav (advisor) ; Ulvr, Michal (referee)
(in English): Second World War is a very well researched conflict favoured by historians and non-professional enthusiasts alike. Despite its popularity even this subject leaves many areas blank. Areas which were either completely omitted by researches or not studied thoroughly enough. One of these areas is a production technology of Red Army military uniforms. The aim of the thesis is not to merely describe the patterns of military uniforms but to outline the subject with regard to textile industry and chemistry (dyeing). After the critical evaluation of accessible information thesis was based exclusively upon primary sources - manufacturing instructions of the period and specialized literature. All secondary sources were deliberately excluded. The findings proved that specific manufacturing instruction of the period enables the researcher to produce virtually any garment. At the same time established deficiencies are not insolvable. The question which shade of khaki was used in dyeing fabric for uniforms still remains unanswered. A lot of facts established in discipline of textile materials and textile colours are contradictory to generally accepted image of the Read Army soldier which has been formed by cinematography and secondary literature for decades.
